ARDWAN BRUSH [BAHRAM]
Ardwan Brush is based on the handwriting of the Mandaean high priest Ganzibra Bihram K. Aziz, carrying the energy of a living hand into type. Its strokes hold the speed and pressure of the brush, with edges that swell and break the way a real mark does, giving the script an expressive, unmistakably human voice. Brush is made for art, headlines, and anything that should feel made in the moment rather than constructed. The difficulty is to keep that spontaneity while every letter still reads clearly and belongs to one system. I design it from within the tradition, drawing the gesture from a priest's own hand, so the energy belongs to the script and to the people who write it.
