ARDWAN DECO
Ardwan Deco shares its origin with Punch in the lead punches of Julius Euting, but takes the opposite turn. Where Punch keeps to the mechanical, Deco decorates: it accepts the same robust bones and then draws ornament into every possible line of the letter. Seen beside Punch you understand at once that they belong together, two answers to the same source, yet entirely different in spirit. Deco is built for titles, covers, and ceremonial use, where a single line must carry presence rather than long reading. The craft is to let ornament deepen the letter without burying it. I design it from within the tradition, turning a historical source into a face made whole and systematic.
