Ardwan Deco is derived from the Mandaic punches produced under Julius Euting in the 19th century.
The typeface focuses on the decorative and irregular qualities present in the original material. Handwritten additions and inconsistencies were isolated and translated into a controlled visual language.
The result is a contemporary typographic interpretation that highlights ornamental aspects within the historical development of the script.
